In February, 2011, suspension of security operations was one of the demands made by the Maoists during the abduction of Malkangiri collector R Vineel Kishore and junior engineer Pabitra Mohan Manjhi. Orissa government agreed to stop the combing operation for a while, gave the CPI(Maoist) the breathing space to fill up the base force as much as possible. This story is the journey the reporter's journey through the red corridor, on her way meeting military commanders of the People’s Liberation Guerilla Army and eventually reaching the training camps where 400 minors as young as six are being trained in guerilla warfare.
